it's technically a new day, so this isn't really my 4th post. it's my first. i just have to comment.
Jon Bon Jovi was on Oprah today. What an amazing guy. He is owner of the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team, and a big supporter of the Northern Home For Children in Philly. If you watched the Real World: Philadelphia season, you know the participants worked for the Soul and built a playground for the home. Today they showed Jon (yeah, we're on a first name basis...well, as far as I know anyway...) surprising the kids at the home. Many of them can't go to school because they can't afford the uniforms. Well, Jon got GAP! to donate a $300 wardrobe to each kid so they could go to school, along with Staples donating backpacks full of stuff and CompUSA donating 50 computers to the home. Then the surprise that even Oprah didn't know about. He donated $1 million to her Angels Network Foundation. Oh yeah, and instead of Bon Jovi making a video for their next song, they're spending the money on building 4 homes for Habitat For Humanity. No, he didn't do it all on his own. But he used his celebrity status for such great things. Not all celebrities can say that. (what was the last thing Paris Hilton did to better the country?)
by the way...did you know you can go to Oprah's site and donate to Hurricane Katrina victims? She has a registry, and you can buy just about anything. From a bath towel to an entire house. So cool.
