i'm so tired...

this weekend would have been pretty laid back, except for some late-week decisions. Saturday I worked, then went home to make manicotti for dave's sister and her husband, who had just moved into a new place. i became a favorite sister-in-law that day. even if i did burn the buns. anyway, it was fun hanging with them. their new place is so much bigger than the old one. they have lots of room for the puppies and such. sunday i woke at 8am (without dave...that's too early,he said. he was probably right...) to hit the road at 8:30. i drove 114 miles north to see my friend Jodi and her boyfriend Alex in Stevens Point. Jodi had breakfast ready for me, so it was worth getting up early! We hung out for a while, which was nice because i hadn't seen them in a long time, and then i hit the road for another 30+mile north trip to wausau to see some more friends. Terry & Anji moved to WI in 2001 and we became fast friends. I haven't seen them in a while either, so it was a good chance to catch up. They have a beautiful little girl, Rosemary, and a boy on the way in February. They're still working on the name. I'm gonna try to help so it doesn't cause any more fights! Terry doesn't like sleeping on the couch...
anyway, they bought me dinner...another good reason for getting up at 8am! I hit the road around 6:3opm, got some gas, and headed home. I got there just before 9pm. Then I got right back in my car and went to the grocery store to get the fixin's for brandy slush (dave had kindly gotten me the brandy...i'd forgotten about the orange juice and lemonade). i got back home, made the slush, and set it to freeze. i tried to nap, to no avail. Now here I am at work, completely exhausted from what was supposed to be a weekend w/out plans. Yeah, right. Maybe next time. Nah...next time is Christmas. Then New Years. Huh. Wonder when I'll relax again....next year i guess. dang.

It's your own fault for having so many friends. If you were more anti-social you'd have more free time.

gert-i hope so!

rob-the problem isn't too many friends. it's that they live so far away. i "have" to go to TX and NY in '06. Not driving then though.

Jen-if I knew what it was, i'd help you out. it comes outta nowhere. prob'ly cuz i have one of those "easy" jobs that requires little energy. or brain function, for that matter!
