Rum Boogie

I could have done the Rum Boogie tonight, but I wasn't up for it. It was a long day of seminars and speakers. Good information for me to absorb. It was also the time of the songwriters dinner, where 6 songwriters from country and beyond (as we found out) come to play their songs acoustically. it was so fun. it was really great to see M and B react when they read their booklet and saw the name of this guy:

For the "non 80's hairband folks" reading my blog, that is Mark Slaughter. From Slaughter. It was pretty cool to see him up there playin' his guitar and singin'. He sang "Fly to the Angels" and the crowd went nuts. You wouldn't know that 99.9% of us work in country music! It was fun to mix it up a bit.
Anyway, after that, we went to Huey's (a local bar, real low key and quiet) near our bar and finished out our night. and our trip, really. we will get up in the morning, try to find some barbeque for lunch, and head home. whew. it's been a long couple of days, and i'll post pictures when i get home. i'm too tired to do it now. i should be packing. yeah. that'll happen at the last minute!
