The Grammy's were on tonight. I flipped it on in the beginning because there was nothing else on. I was happy to see the Dixie Chicks' performance. I am one of those "true fans" that have stayed a fan through all of the crap from the last nearly 4 years. And finally, tonight, it seems they are getting some of the respect back that they lost from the industry.
They sounded FANTASTIC. And what else? Oh yeah, they won ALL FIVE GRAMMYS THEY WERE NOMINATED FOR. That's pretty amazing.
The last one of the night had them all choked up, as well it should. And Natalie Maines said "I'm ready to make nice!"
People are coming around. "They say time heals everything..." It's about damn time.

Okay, so I'm not going to disagree with you on your blog, and my reasoning for not liking them isn't about the President Bush thing either, so I'm going to skip all the DC stuff and just say...
I miss you on days!!!! I'm normally planning my request about this time. :(
I too won't completly disagree with you on your own blog...but president thing aside...how can you dis Reba? I LOVE!!!!!! Reba!!!!
Yeah! Bucky!
My opinion (cuz it's my blog) on the Reba thing...when i read the quote now, it doesn't seem like a bash on reba herself. she (martie) said they wanted fans "will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith. ... We don't want those kinds of fans."
I read that as "we want our fans to accept our music, whether it sounds country or not." yes, they turned their backs on the country music industry. but seriously, if the country music industry did to me what they did to the chicks, i would have done the same damn thing.
Having said that, I understand that they have said some stupid shit, and I don't agree with it all. But i am a fan because of their MUSIC.
that's all.
