"9" days to go
Today was ALMOST as annoying as my appointment last week. The nurse set me up on the monitors (one for baby's heartbeat, one for any contractions i might have)and said "i'll leave you here for about 10 minutes and send in Nurse A." ok. 10 minutes go by, and i'm pretty sure it was way longer than 10 minutes. they don't have clocks in the doctor's office. anyway, Nurse A comes in and says "looks good, I'll leave you here another 10 minutes." meanwhile, the monitor is picking up the heartbeat, but the baby is moving a lot. and everytime s/he does, the monitor loses track for a quick time. Nurse A comes back and says "I'll take this off, but let me get Nurse B to make sure." Ok...Nurse B comes in and says "It looks ok, but since you're seeing Dr H in a few minutes anyway, we'll send him in and let him look at it." GOD! I've been laying there for over an hour by now, my husband was out in the waiting room not knowing what was going on (because I couldn't get up to check my phone when he called)and I'm SO irritated. Dr H comes in and says "Yup, looks good. Lets get these off." Thanks, Dr. H. Now if you would have just said "Let's get you going" instead of "I wouldn't suggest you requesting to be induced". Because you know what, Dr. H? You're a man, and have NO idea how I feel right now. Next week I have an appointment w/Dr. O, and she's a woman. Hopefully she has more sympathy for me.

were you contracting? It is fun to see how much you actually contract when you can't really feel it. But I feel for you...my dr accidently broke my water when checking me with my first (I was in early labor) so I had to be on monitors the whole time I was in labor...except for when my WONDERFUL nurse Linda Ellis let me go in the shower for a little while :) A GOOD labor nurse is worth her weight in gold!!!
You're sooooo close, Kari! :)
I think a trip to the fair with me on Sunday would just help that little one get ready to come right on out... ;-)
I keep wondering if no updates means a baby :)
