Yesterday I had my 39 week doctors appointment. I went in with the mindset that I was going to force my way into being induced SOON.
It did not happen. I got pretty upset, but couldn't bring myself to actually cry.
I did tell her that I can't sleep, so she told me to take benadryl.
I did, and you know what?
Instead of being up crying this morning at 3:30am (like I was the previous morning) I woke up and thought about blogging. Because I hadn't already been up 4 times by then. I did wake up a few times throughout the night, but I was able to go back to sleep without actually getting out of bed. And that was nice.
It helped me sleep, and I think that will help me get through the rest of my time. However freakin' long that will be! (I'm due Saturday, and I believe this baby has no intention of coming any earlier than that!)

Boo. Boo to stubborn little tykes who won't come early!
Sigh.
Glad you got some sleep though :)
Hang in there. You can take comfort in the fact that a lot of us know how you feel. Think of it as a warm up to getting up with the baby.
The dumb thing...In a couple weeks after you have your baby home with you, you will be laying in bed trying to remember what it was like to be pregnant, and you will actually miss the kicking :)
Hang in there, it won't be long now!
You'll make it. By the way, today (8/9) is a great day for a birthday!! ;)
I don't know why it took till now for this to show up in my rss reader... Are you sqeezing puppies as I type?
Benedryl is a great sleep aid. It's what is in all those p.m. formulas. It isn't good for the sleep cycle, so you don't want to take it regularly, but I'm sure once you get your body back, you won't need to.
I'm looking forward to the email with a link to the newbie pictures. Take care :)
OK, it's Sunday... I wanna know... baby?????? :-)
