Friday night I got to have a girls night out. We drank Boone's Farm before going out, and I was out until almost 2am! Yay me! We just relaxed and had a few drinks, and it was totally fun. I think I'm going back to mixed drinks...they make me feel less icky than beer the next day!
Saturday was my birthday, so Dave and I went to dinner at Boston's (I had a certificate for a free dessert) and then the Badger Men's basketball game. I think I got too excited about finally going to a game at the Kohl Center. The game was VERY low-key. It wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. The Badgers won, and it was the 10th anniversary of the Kohl Center so it was nice to see some old faces (Pat Richter, Jeff Sauer, Dick Bennett, Herb Kohl) but the crowd just wasn't into it. Not to mention the shuttle we were taking back to our car took forever, and we had to stand outside in the FREEZING weather!
Sunday I had lunch at Noodles (so much for my diet, huh? hey, it's my birthday weekend) with my friend Melissa and she gave me a $15 gift card for iTunes. I love that gift! That afternoon my nieces came to spend the night and we watched the (**sobbing**) Packer game. It wouldn't have sucked so much if my brother wasn't a Giants fan and hadn't gotten his girls to "like" the Giants. Anyway, enough football talk. The Packers are out of it, so football season is over for me!
And my most thoughtful birthday present came from my husband. He got me a new printer/copier/fax/scanner. My printer was OLD and only printed b&w, and this one is so fancy that he networked it and I can print from either the laptop or his computer, no matter where I am in the house! Woot! And since I'm going to be starting my own business, he thought something with the other features would come in handy for me.
Speaking of my own business (Tastefully Simple) if ANYONE is interested in hosting a party, let me know. Ok, if anyone in my area is interested. Otherwise it'll have to be a book party. Check out their website. Yummy food...plain and simple!
