Grey's Anatomy - An Update in DC's Absence

I'm so sorry for the length of this. It's a 2 hour show, and I don't want to miss anything. I guess there is a reason I don't do this every week!

Meredith - she saw her mom cut herself when she was a kid? Yikes. Mer's a rescuer. I'm glad she's going to the therapist. (There's probably a lot I'm missing on this one). I also like that she gave Cristina the sparkly pager, and it got her out of her funk!

Derek - Selling his land? Yikes! Ferry boats crash, huh? I don't think he'll do it.

George - feeling so UP and then so down! I love how he called Lexie by her full name when he found her with all the files!!! And failing the exam by only 1 point. Damn!

Izzie - Trying to do her best to help Karev and not getting through to him.

Karev - Ava/Rebecca is seriously needing help. She wet her pants? And who saw the knife thing coming?

The guy who jumped into wet cement on a dare for a girl he likes and then came in covered in dried cement. Freaky!

Finding out Bailey is a Star Wars fan! Who knew?!

Chief Webber looking at the way Hahn treats Cristina...wonder where that will go.

The craziness that is the threesome of Mark, Callie and Hahn. I wonder how far that will go...

Mer and Der working together to get two patients laid! How cool was that?!?!

HOLY CRAP! Derek just told Meredith he doesn't want to see her or work with her, and that they're done!

End of hour 1.

WTF is up with Karev? Seriously what is he doing, not getting psych help for Ava/Rebecca?

Go Lexie telling George how great he is (his file said so!) even when he said he didn't want to know what it said anymore!

Derek thinks the clinical trials not working are making him a failure, and he says to Rose "I'm failing HER over and over and over..." Oops.

GO CRISTINA! She finally gets to prove herself because Hahn isn't there to say no. Webber and Bailey have faith in her, and she prevails! And says to Hahn "Shut up and let me work!" YAHOO!

I love how Webber calls Hahn out on the carpet. "You need to do better. Be a better teacher." And Cristina was there to hear it. It's about damn time!

Izzie finally grows some balls and brings the psych doctor down to see Ava/Rebecca, and tells Karev she'll call the police if he tries to take her home. Karev is freaking out...he wants to take care of her. Like he took care of his mom. He calls her husband. He took the baby and left her 2 months ago. Underlying Borderline Personality Disorder. He finally admits she needs help and he can't do it.

Meredith walks into her kitchen to see the blood from Ava/Rebecca, and you can tell she is brought back to her mom trying to commit suicide.

George telling the Chief he's better than the jobs he's been doing lately. Telling him he deserves a second chance, and the Chief says "OK". he can retake the test. Oh George!

Another clinical trial and the patient lives through it. She hasn't woken up yet. Meredith gets sassy with the Chief after doing the clinical that they shouldn't have done. "My mother tried to kill herself after you left? Did you know that?" She realizes that her mother was an excellent surgeon and would have done something different if she really wanted to kill herself. She wanted Webber to come back. Meredith is acting just like her mother did. When her mother told her to be extraordinary, she wasn't talking about surgery. Just be an extraordinary person!

The cement boy...the girl likes him back, and Callie convinces her that no matter what her friends say, she should be honest with him. She goes in his room and kisses him.

Cristina pages Lexie. "Get my banana out of the cubby." "You want me to peel it?" Nope. Cristina is teaching her a whip-stitch"

The clinical trial girl wakes up! It worked!

Bailey just turned the clinic over to Izzie! So she can concentrate on surgeries and her FAMILY! There are a few tears and some great words from Bailey to Izzie. The Denny Duchette (sp?) Memorial Clinic is in her hands.

Callie just KISSED HAHN! HOLY SHIT! And Sloan just watches.

Mer and Der are searching for each other. Mer at Der's house and vice-versa.

Webber goes home to his wife. He wants her back. "I'm a good man. I am your husband. And I love you. I'm not asking to come home, I'm telling you I am your husband, and I want to come home to my wife." "Well, it's about time!"

And then George kisses Lexie. She loves him...

Karev is sad. Crying. He kisses Izzie. She says no but kisses him back. And he breaks down crying and she holds him.

Der finds Mer at his land. She lit a ton of candles, to look like a blueprint of their house. He brings the champagne to their house. Mer and Der are back on and KISSING! He leaves to break it off with Rose. Because he wants to do more than kiss her! He tells her to wait for him! Oh lord. She just got "healed" and he leaves, saying "Wait for me!"

End scene.
