If anyone has an answer for me, please tell.
We went to Kohl's to do a bit of quick shopping today. (When you drag along your husband and 11mo old son, it must be quick). We pulled into a parking spot, and there was a guy walking around with an orange reflector vest on, looking at and writing down license plates and VIN#'s. Dave said he saw the guy had something on him that said DMV, but I don't care. He went into the store and asked about it (while I sat in the car) and someone said the guy was checking to see that people were up to date with their registrations. SERIOUSLY?
We left Kohl's and went to Target, because I was going to have no part in that. Dave had mentioned it to someone in Kohl's and they said they'd get the manager.
When we came back, the guy was in the Best Buy lot right next door. So we went in Kohl's quick and when we got out, he was back in the Kohl's lot.
I'm not kidding...what the hell is up with that? There is no way this guy should have been walking around writing down vin numbers and license plates. If I don't keep my registration up to date, the DMV will send me something, and a cop can pull me over and give me a ticket.
I have never seen anything like this, and hopefully I never will again!

My thoughts are too (police state) conspiracy theory to mention. Maybe one of the news channels would like to look into it. I think Channel Three still reads viewer mail. I'd find it pretty disturbing too.
That seems pretty shady. I wouldn't have trusted that either.
