in my business, it just means more work. today and tomorrow. at least its short shifts, and i have some time to play!
last night i went to a Stampin Up! show with a friend and it was out of control. I'm sure if you check out her blog, she'll have more words to say about it, because she's the demonstrator, and I was just along for the ride. we drove to Appleton (over 2 hours away) for this show. The house was NASTY. just dirty and messy. ick. she used broom with a carved handle (like one that's used to decorate for the fall) to sweep up some peanuts she spilled. her family member told her "you just swept, you can put them back in the jar." i would have vomited had she done that. She didn't clean her house up at all (thankfully we only had to be in the kitchen) and looked like a complete slob. At least this time she wasn't breastfeeding. (I wasn't at that particular show, so I can't describe it!) It wasn't profitable for my friend at all, who spent way too much money on gas to get there. (it would have been helpful if we'd have had a gas mask, actually). we did go to the mall and i got a couple things, on sale, so that was cool! she won't go back to that area for a show, but i'll go to more shows w/her. this one didn't dampen the love i have for the habit she's gotten me so addicted to! (i'm going to my 2nd stampin' sleepover in october. we stay at a hotel and stamp for two days. woo hoo!)
i'm starting to wonder about my cousin i mentioned in yesterdays "rambles". she usually emails me back quite fast (especially now when she's not working and her husband is out of town. they just moved to NC in July, so I'm pretty sure she doesn't know a LOT of people). anyway, i'm wondering if it's TIME. i hope so, only because i know she's ready. but w/her husband out of town and her mom not in town til next week...i hope she's just been busy and the baby's gonna wait. i'll keep you posted, of course!
holla
*huge sigh*

Hey Sami! A few of my friends really get into the Stampin stuff. It looks pretty cool. I wonder if I'm patient enough...Lord knows i can't afford a new hobby right now. lol
Hope you're having a good Saturday!
i have no patience, but the outcome is worth the effort! Especially when you have to leave for a birthday party in 5 minutes and don't have a card! Rather than stopping and spending $3-$4 on a wal-mart one, you make one that's more personalized, and you're all set! it can be as simple or as detailed as you want! i say give it a try!
