what's up?

blogger's acting funny lately. not letting me post pictures. erasing my blog. i read two other blogs today (1 and 2) and they BOTH made reference to blogging, it being deleted, then having to do it all over again. then it happened to me. i recapped everything i did this weekend. hit "publish" and got a "this page cannot be found" error. So, here I go again....maybe I need to make it more interesting. Blogger's getting picky is what it is!

Friday night was our night out with Jerry Seinfeld. You can read all about it on another post! Saturday we did the tailgate thing before the Badger game. It was raining, but the food was still good and it was nice to meet some new people. Then there was the game. OH! After the WI-Temple blowout (WI won 65-0....we left when it was 51-0 at halftime), it was fun to watch an actual GAME. WI hadn't beat Michigan since 1993...and we almost didn't again! It came down to the wire, and besides Seinfeld, seeing Michigan's QB fall on his ass during the last play of the game was the funniest thing I saw all weekend! After the game, we stopped at the store to get all the fixin's for Sunday's party. I then made pasta and fruit salads. And couldn't keep myself from taste-testing throughout the process!

Sunday we woke up early to finish cleaning, and Dave's brother came over with the stuff needed for the garbage can dinner. Basically, it's a clean garbage can over a fire, filled with corn on the cob, chicken breasts, brats, hot dogs, potatoes and onions. YUMM-O! Lots of people showed up, and it rained ALL day, so it's a good thing I cleaned out the garage. It's where some of us spent most of the day. The others watched football. We won't talk about that. Anyway, the party was a success, and was exhausting. After everyone left, we vegged. watched shows we recorded last week (Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer), then the season premiers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Desperate Housewives. We then watched Closer (I told you we vegged!) What a movie! Quite a departure for Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman. Ok, so Julia played a hooker in Pretty Woman. It was a departure from what she's done recently. Anyway, it was good and I recommend it!

Today I'm in for a co-worker who is on vacation, so I'll get done at 6. I have to stop at Wal-Mart to pick up contacts (my right one ripped today...so i'm half blind) and head home to do some more vegging. I'll save the clean-up til tomorrow. Cuz I can!
