let the madness begin

it's 2:35am. i'm awake. blogging. baking cookies. i have so much to do in the next couple days, and this just seems like a good time to get the cookies done. while i watch my cat try to get her twisty tie out from under the fridge. again. yes, my friends, i am going shopping this morning. Best Buy has a laptop on sale for $379.99. my computer geek of a husband said "Yes, buy it!" so I am. Gertie will be here at 4:15, caramel steamer from Kwik Trip in hand, to pick me up. we will be at Best Buy at 4:30. they open at 5. then it's off to Shopko, Target, Menards and Staples. We should be done shopping by 10am. I hope. by the time 2am rolled around, i knew there was no sense in even trying to sleep anymore. i have things to bake for my 2nd t-day celebration on saturday, so why not. that way, after my day of shopping, i can take a nap, go see Harry Potter, (i finished book 4 tonight. i have to see the movie SOON so I don't forget everything I just read!) have a nice dinner out w/my husband, then head out to gerties getaway and hang in the hot-tub. saturday i work the extra early shift, then it's off to my aunt's house for another thanksgiving. gotta love it when you celebrate twice and can enjoy BOTH because you don't have to go from one to the next. OH, we got to stop and say "Hi" to Baby Henry P today. He lives near my brother-in-law, so we stopped on our way home. He was still enjoying his thanksgiving dinner (not too special, really. he's close to 3 months old...) and i got to feed him for a little bit. What a sweetie that guy is. His parents are pretty cool too. It was nice to see them.

ok, i'm off to finish my midnight baking. hope your turkey day was splendid!
