You drove an hour for that?

Today was our major shopping day. We're gutting our bathroom, so we needed to get a new toilet and faucets. We'd been to the stores in our area, so we decided to try a different one, which had it's nearest location about an hour from us. It was a rainy Sunday, so why not. I'm glad we did. We found a toilet very easily. Well, the tank was easy to find. The bowl part not so much...it was in the wrong spot. It took 3 employees to find it, but they did, so that's what matters.
Here's our faucet:

and the one for the shower

They are a matching set...and we're so excited. The tile is all ordered and paid for. Basically all we have left to do is buy a bathtub and a new vanity/sink. And we just need our plumber friend to help us with the bathtub. He knows what to get.

Then we stopped for lunch at this place. A small-town restaurant/bar. Great service...ok, it was pretty empty, but the woman was friendly and fast, and we really enjoyed it. So I'm sure we'll go back. We also had the appetizer called Chinese Cheese, which was cheese wrapped in an eggroll wrapper and deep fried. It gave us an idea for a new recipe, so I'll have to post that when I try it!

not so complicated when the brother-in-law lays tile for a living, and the friend's husband is a plumber!
