This Saturday my husband is having the guys over for some games to celebrate his birthday (which is the 29th), and I offered to cook. I don't mind, it gives me a chance to cook some things that normally I wouldn't get to because he won't eat. But his friends will. (He will eat most of this...chicken rolls, ravioli, chili, oreos, dip, etc). I had stuffed mushrooms in mind too, but because of my schedule and the fact that he won't eat them, I dropped them. So, here's what I've got in mind:
Wingless Buffalo Chicken Rolls
Texas Caviar (served with Fritos Scoops)
Chili (think Frito Pie...chili in a bowl with tortilla or corn chips and toppings, no spoons allowed!)
Fudge Covered Oreos
Sweet & Spicy Roasted Almonds
Deluxe Pizza Bagels
There will also be fresh salsa, a variety of chips as well as a spicy cheez whiz/chili dip. And whatever else I find before Saturday.
When I first decided to cook all of this, I thought I'd probably have to work until 2 on Saturday, but I could do a lot of stuff the night before and then once I got home finish it up. They're coming over at noon, they'll still be hungry at 2.
Now I am going out the night before and have to work 11-6 on Saturday. SO, the hubby's in charge of baking some of it.
Good luck guys!!

I'll need it! ;)
:)
Sounds like a good time. You're going to have a hidden camera hanging around to check up on 'em, right?
Funny.
Between me and you though, I am the only one who hasn't burned Pizza Bagels
How'd it go?!?!??!
The food was great. Everyone that came had nothing but positives to say...even when I some involvement in the process.
I believe I heard the word "Food Goddess" mentioned at various times that night.
