I had to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy today, and this is how the conversation went between myself and the pharmacist (ok maybe she's not the pharmacist, she looked up my prescription, but someone else gave me the "consult", but whatever)
P: This prescription isn't covered by your insurance
Me: Ok
P: Do you still want to pay for it?
Me: *slight pause* Well, I need the prescription....
I should have asked her what my other option was. If my insurance doesn't pay for it, I do. Right? Unless you're going to give it to me for free out of the goodness of your heart.
Yeah, didn't think so.
So I shelled out the money.
Such is life.

Stupid insurance. It should cover everything, right? Oh wait, that's my perfect world dream talking right there. Nevermind.
I'd have liked to have seen the look on her face if you'd asked if she was going to give it to you out of the goodness of her heart. :) Try it next time and let us know how it goes.
Those Pharmacy Techs are sure dumb sometimes. It's scary that they handle drugs.
Scary? Wait until they give you Neurontin instead of the Zarontin prescription that the doctor called in for your 10 year old daughter's Absence seizures! Um...yeah, I think we'll try the pharmacy down the street, thanks!
