I sent my list to family members yesterday. This is what was on it:
Mini muffin pan
skimmer
salad spinner
mortar & pestle
Porcelain Measuring Spoons
white ankle socks
gift cards for: Red Robin, Michael's Craft Store, Marcus Theatres, Target, Wal-Mart, Star Cinema, Pizzeria Uno, Bed Bath & Beyond, Bath & Body Works, Best Buy
Yes, my friends. I asked for socks.
I am officially old.
I also went "christmas shopping" today. does it count as christmas shopping if the only christmas gift I got was a best buy gift card for my brother, and i bought myself 2 new board games, a candle and soap from bath & body works, a new ink cartridge, and a birthday present for a 5 year old? probably not. maybe i'll try again tomorrow. wish me luck!

I went shopping with a friend Saturday night for stuff for our friend's bachelorette party this coming Saturday night and she mentioned that every time she's been "Christmas" shopping lately she's bought more stuff for herself than for anyone else. Hmm...
I'm doing fairly well. I have over half my list done, I've managed - when you add them all up, not on an individual basis - to stay on budget so far, and I have YET to put anything on a credit card. But I haven't started on my nephew yet... between his birthday and my mom's shopping spree for him, there really is little left to get him.
I've asked for socks before - sometimes you just need socks. Plus I'm the sort of guy that just gets something when I want it so when people ask for an xmas list I have to think.
