Buying a crib

Choice 1: out of stock
other stores: nothing desirable/sturdy
back to store 1
choice 2: out of stock
choice 3: in stock, not something i love

FINALLY talk to sales person. choice 2? Nope, out of stock and back-ordered. don't know when it will be ordered. could check another store 70+ miles away. you want me to check choice 1? oh look, it's in stock. delivery? $90 to your house 10 minutes away. would still be $90 from that store 70+ miles away. what's that? you want me to put it in your truck so you can take it home? sounds good.

So there you have it. Lesson learned. ASK someone when you see an "out of stock" sign on something you really want. We got the crib we really wanted. Sturdy, looks good, and inexpensive. As if that part mattered, my mom bought it! But still. The less she pays for this, the more she might buy in the end! She is the grandma after all!

Anyone want to come and paint the baby's room so we can set this crib up?

If she's anything like my mom was (ask Workingmom, she'll confirm), she'll buy OODLES of stuff. :)
