I can't believe it's April 30!

A couple weeks ago I told my husband I wanted to start keeping better track of our finances, and specifically where it all goes. I said "May 1, let's start" and here it is April 30. May 1 is tomorrow, and I have to figure out how to do this budget!!! Good thing all my "fun" spending came before May 1! Wednesday I went to a Pampered Chef party and bought an i-Slice, a chopper, a mix-n-chop, a scraper...i think that's it. Friday was a Tastefully Simple party and i bought all sorts of things there too. Like the Si Si Cilantro Spicy Dip Mix and Some Nana's Apple Cake Mix. I'm a sucker for all that stuff. And thankfully it doesn't have to go on my budget tracker, because i bought it before May 1! :o)
It was a beautiful weekend, but we didn't spend much time outside. We went to home depot to pick up paint (Tinker Bell) on Saturday, but everyone else was already there so we just skipped it. We watched the NFL Draft (YAY Joe Thomas!) grilled out burgers for lunch and brats for dinner (it was a great day, we had to use the grill!) and then went to my brother-in-laws for a fire. Sunday was SO lazy. I made breakfast and was ready to do some shopping, but decided on a 2 hour nap instead. I watched some basketball and didn't even get dressed until 7:30pm. I went to walmart for a few things, and was back in my PJ's to watch Desperate Housewives just after 8!
All-in-all, a great weekend. Next weekend will see paint (in the nursery), a put-together crib, and another bonfire at the brother-in-law's house!
Oh, and I almost forgot. My MIL let us know of a house going up for sale in the next month or so in my husband's hometown (where she and his brother still live). As if being pregnant in the middle of summer isn't enough, now she wants us to MOVE? I guess that's what we get for telling her (just the day before) that we plan on moving back there someday. Meaning: someday when A)I'm not pregnant and B) the work on our current house is done!
