another weekend gone

He was RIGHT ON today, and the Packers won a game. (If you didn't know, it's only the 3rd time this year...so it's a big deal!) Thankfully, Samkon Gado was also RIGHT ON and helped Favre out a LOT. So, it was a beautiful Sunday evening!

So, backing up a bit...I originally had NO plans for Saturday. It's amazing what happens when you have no plans...you end up busier than ever. But, before we get to Saturday, we have to start with Friday. At 830am, after just 4 hours of sleep, I was off to help out a friend and babysit his 7mo old daughter while he worked. Little Charlotte Rose is the BEST baby I've seen in a long time. She doesn't fuss unless she's REALLY hungry or REALLY tired. She just watched her baby einstein dvd's (those things are HEAVEN for moms and dads) and played with me (or entertained me, i guess. she wanted to watch those DVD's). After that, Gertie and I went to a food-tasting party. Like Tastefully Simple, but not tasty. Ick. The stuff wasn't good. So we made our sympathy purchases (i got Chocolate Decadance Cake...THAT was good) and were on our way. I was asleep shortly after 10pm, and slept until 10am. NICE! Saturday morning I got up and went shopping for some books for Gertie's son for Christmas, then Gertie and her husband picked me up and we went for sushi. YUM-O! Afterwards, we decided to go to the craft fair in town. HUGE. Lots of stuff to look at, but all we bought was some really yummy english toffee (and i bought a sign for my bedroom) and then they took me back to my car. Dave met me out and we got a space heater (our basement patio door is VERY drafty) and then decided to make some dinner. Well, we had to figure out what first. He said he wanted manicotti until i found a recipe for buffalo chicken bites. then he called his mom and got the recipe for chocolate oatmeal drop cookies and we were off to the store. Back at home we made dinner and enjoyed it immensely. Then I made christmas cards while watching the Sopranos. That was weird! Sunday we got up to go to Dave's great-nephew's 4th birthday party. He loved everything...especially the batmobile we got him! Then we had to do our normal grocery shopping and headed home. We had some REALLY ripe bananas, so I decided to find a recipe for banana muffins. I made those, we watched Coach Carter (i loved it!) and then the football game. Whew. So much for a relaxing weekend!
